SELECTIVIDAD UNEDassiss

Selectividad UNEDassiss structure

  • Technological Sciences: to study degrees such as Engineering, Architecture, Mathematics…
  • Social Sciences: to study degrees such as Economics, Law, Marketing, Psychology, History…

What is UNED ASISS?

It is a service provided by the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED) that aims to manage the access and admission of students to Spanish universities. This service is aimed primarily at international students, who can gain access by taking specific tests and through accreditation.

This service is aimed at students from the European Union and from countries with international education systems that can homologate their studies to the Spanish Bachillerato.

  • 2 subjects: European, Chinese or with International Bachelor. The universities of Galicia.
  • 4 subjects: Madrid, Valencia, Murcia, Extremadura, León, Salamanca, Valladolid and Burgos. In these cases, you can apply for the Bachelor’s Degree, an extra requirement.
  • 6 subjects: other universities. Students are asked to make an EBAU structure, which is the same for Spanish undergraduates (having EBAU structure does not mean having to do the same exams as the Spanish students. It refers only to your choice of subjects).

Some Spanish universities (not all) may want us to have a bachelor’s degree; they include the Universities of the Community of Madrid and those of Castile and León.

In these universities, completing just 4 subjects will earn you the highest possible grade. There are 4 distinct bachelor types:

  • Science
  • Social sciences
  • Humanities
  • Art

To be eligible to apply for this access criterion, we must select one core subject, one modality subject (sciences, art, social sciences, or humanities), and up to two elective subjects.

We can have one of two circumstances for this criterion to be successful:

  • If you pass the general, modality, and one of the specialized subjects but fail the optative, nothing happens and you will still receive a passing grade.
  • You get a 5 point average throughout the four study branch subjects. As long as the average grade of the four tasks is accepted, you can pass two assignments while failing two others (5 or more in the mark).

About Spanish universities

Application requests for accreditation are accepted starting in February and ending on December 1 of the same year. You can access the applications from your computer via the UNEDasiss website.

The UNED Government Council and its Social Council have authorized the costs associated with UNEDasiss accreditations. The following are the acceptable costs for the various accrediting services:

These fees are not eligible for other kinds of discounts and/or exemptions, nor are they subject to price reductions or exemptions for large numbers of families.

Even if UNEDasiss rejects all of the accreditation services sought after reviewing the supporting evidence, students are still required to pay the charges associated with those services.

Once the application has been submitted, the student will not be allowed to change or add to the services they have already sought for accreditation; however, they may modify it.

Modifications that are sought before accreditations are issued or the deadline for obtaining PCE and do not result in a drop in the prices to be paid are acceptable.

Even if the request for recognition of a new subject is denied, the application fee must be paid.

RETURN OF FEES FORM MANAGEMENT OF STUDENTS OF INTERNATIONAL EDUCATIONAL SYSTEMS ON ADMISSION TO THE SPANISH UNIVERSITY APPLICABLE BY UNEDASSIS

In general, these fees are subject to the justifications and grounds for return outlined in Articles 12 and 27.5 of the Law on Public Taxes and Prices.

In the following circumstances, only the sums paid will be reimbursed:

  • The same concept has been paid twice by mistake.
  • The costs are more than the rates that apply.
  • When the student does not fulfill the minimal requirement to access the university and proceeds to have it verified by the UNED
  • When the service has not been supplied for a reason attributed to UNEDasiss.
  • The student’s passing away.

The return of the fees paid for the secretariat and the opening of the file will never happen.

All requests for returns must be made in writing to unedasiss@adm.uned.es at the request of the interested party, and they will be handled after the call has ended.

For the following reasons, no refunds will be issued:

  • Choosing not to take the test
  • The services sought are not necessary
  • The requested services have been refused
  • Documentation has been requested from the applicant but has not been delivered
  • The destination institution does not require certain services or does not consider UNEDasiss accreditation.

ELE (Spanish Courses)

Study Plan and Methodology

Methodology of Spanish classes

During the course, we are very focused on oral and reading comprehension and oral and written expression. Not only do we learn the grammar, but also the Spanish culture, which includes a subject of history so that the student experiences a deep cultural and linguistic immersion in the country. When the students do outdoor activities, they learn how to react to daily situations, as well as using their linguistic skills. The assessment is continuous and we carry out different activities and exams. Our teachers monitor the students individually, and then post this information in the personal platform of the students.

Study plan of the Spanish course

We follow the objectives set by the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). This is why our study plan has a communicative and immersive approach. We adapt to every student and our aim is that they end up learning Spanish.

Regarding the materials, we use paper and other electronic resources.

Our classrooms count on new technologies such as interactive screens, which is one of the latest innovations in the educational field, leading it to such a rewarding experience for the students.

Trips and extracurricular activities

We are fully convinced that learning a language is not only a matter of studying the grammar. Therefore, in Academia Avenida al Español we choose a linguistic approach combined with a cultural immersion outdoors.
